The AARP Tax-Aide program is offered in conjunction with the IRS and the AARP Foundation. It is open to everyone regardless of age but is primarily geared to senior citizens. There are locations through out Morris County as well as nationally. Local offices include Boonton Senior Center (Tuesdays), Parsippany Community Center (Tuesdays and Thursdays), Kinnelon Fire House (Thursdays) and Denville Municipal Building (Wednesday).

Dr. Edward Marlatt, former Boontonian and professor at Adelphi University, will trace the rise of these iconic Nieuw Amsterdam / New York’s old monied American families of wealth and prestige from their arrival in America to their acquisition of wealth by means of the family tycoon, then follow their pedigree down to their contemporary American descendants.
Professor Marlatt will also discuss aspects of Anglo-Saxon American capitalism and culture in the United States, which was the predominant culture here from about 1608 to 1968 in the USA.
