Boonton Fire Department’s Improved Services Recognized

The Town of Boonton’s Fire Department continues to provide us with quality fire protection and services! The Fire Department is assessed every three years on a scale known as the Public Protection Classification (PPC).  Chief Kaplan had been advised that this year, we are moving up the ranks from a Class 4 to a Class 3 town. This ranking indicates that our Fire Department continually strives to improve their services while making Boonton a safe place to work and live.

What this Means for Home and Business Owners

The PPC rating is often used by insurance providers who seek to determine the level of risk associated with insuring property. Due to increased effectiveness and efficiency in our Fire Department’s service, insurance providers utilizing this rating in their calculations may determine better rates for homeowners and businesses seeking fire insurance coverage.

This is just one of many reasons we are grateful to Boonton’s bravest who put their own safety in jeopardy to keep our town safe. Boonton is a safer, happier, and higher quality town because of their hard work. Great job to our Fire Department!
