Boonton Celebrates Career of DPW Director

Mike Retirement 1

On February 1st of this year, the Department of Public Works Director Mike Petonak began his well-deserved retirement after 47 years of serving the Town of Boonton. On his final day at work, Senator Anthony Bucco presented Mr. Petonak with a Joint Citation from the New Jersey State Legislature recognizing his impressive career in public service. Mike’s firm commitment to the town, his extraordinary work ethic, and painstaking attention to detail kept Boonton’s water clean and roads safe for decades. Although his presence at Town Hall will be missed, we would all like to wish Mike a very happy retirement.
