The Town of Boonton Health Department, in collaboration with Alzheimer’s New Jersey and the Boonton Holmes Library, will be offering an educational program regarding Alzheimer’s disease to the public on Thursday, November 14, from 10:30am – 11:30am. The program, entitled ‘Alzheimer’s 101,’ will feature a speaker from Alzheimer’s New Jersey and will be held at the Boonton Holmes Public Library, 621 Main Street, Boonton.
The program will provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Risk factors and warning signs, steps to obtaining a diagnosis, and treatment options will be discussed. In addition, information will be provided with regard to community resources, planning for the future and coping with behavioral changes. Refreshments will be provided by Boonton Care Center.
