Celebrating Boonton, New Jersey: 150 Years Highlights of the 1967 Boonton Centennial

Come and reminisce the pageantry that took place during one eventful week in 1967. The Boonton Historical Society and Museum’s new exhibit will highlight the Boonton Centennial Program of Events including the parades, dances, exhibits, fun and frivolity. On display with be photos, video clips / slide show, paraphernalia, costumes and dresses related to this centennial celebration.

Historical Parade

The “Centennial Quilt,” created from fabric patches of some of the costume dresses worn by the Sisters of the Swish at the centennial events, will take center stage.

This sesquicentennial exhibit opens March 5, 2017 and will run through February 2018.

The Boonton Historical Society and Museum is open Sundays from 1 to 4 and is located at the John Taylor Building:
