Boonton Parks and Recreation sponsors a variety of regular activities and special programs throughout the year. The Recreation Committee is always interested in new ideas and feedback from the community. If you're interested in starting a new program or helping with established programs, please e-mail us at:

Boonton Parents of Exceptional Adults & Children

Summer Camp 2009

This year summer camp is back and better than ever.
 
Camp is held at School Street School and provides children with an opportunity to learn, play and have fun this summer. Special events, contests, games, sports, arts and crafts and challenges are just part of the fun. Open to Boonton children ages 4 - 12 .To register please complete the summer camp registration form and payment information sheet.

Enrichment is a series of programs designed to provide a fun summer experience while offering programs in a classroom setting. Open to Boonton and Non- Boonton children who are currently in grades K - 6. To register please complete the summer camp registration form, enrichment registration form and payment information sheet.

Theater Afternoon Program is a one week introduction to acting through improvisation exercises for kids in grades 3 - 6. To register please complete the summer camp registration form and the payment information sheet.

Chess Club is a one week chess introductory program for kids in grades 2 - 6.
To register please complete the summer camp registration form and the payment information sheet.

Musical Instrument Lessons are available during camp hours for children in
grades 3 - 5. To register please complete the summer camp registration form and the payment information sheet.

Leaders In Training- New this year, the leaders in training program is open to Boonton kids in grades 7 & 8. Teens will participate in camp events, while having the opportunity to develop leadership skills, conflict resolution strategies and improved communication skills. To register, please complete the Leaders In Training Contract, Camp Registration Form, and Payment Information Sheet.

Frog Falls at Picatinny Arsenal

Frog Falls is a membership only water park which is open to Boonton Residents.  Frog Falls offers a full snack bar, special programs, swim lessons as well as other activities for family fun. Membership can be purchased through the Rockaway Twsp. Rec. Dept. 973-983-2841.
 

Teens On The GO

Summer 2009
For Boonton Teens in grades 6,7,8
Trips are offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings in July
We leave from the Rec Center at 6PM and return at 9PM

Summer Boot Camp

Now is the time for you to get in shape. Join us Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6AM for a challenging total body work out.
This 5 week summer session allows flexibility to accommodate your travel plans. Enroll for 3,4,or 5 weeks. Get your body in shape, and have fun doing it. This group class keeps you moving and motivated.

Summer Theater Program

presented by Newcastle Unlimited Theater Camps
For kids in Grades 5 - 9
Teens can build self-confidence and learning acting and theater technique in this fun one week Theater camp.
Held Monday - Friday from 9AM - 12PM at the Pepe Field Gazebo
July 20th - July 24th
$90/student includes drinks, snacks, T-shirt and Free Performance for Friends and Family.

Cheer Clinic

For children ages 5 - 9

Ponyshare's Pony Program

For a great introduction to horseback riding- children will learn safety, anatomy, and grooming and will have an opportunity to ride each day.
2 weeks to choose from
June 15th - 19th or
Aug 3rd - Aug 7th
Petite Equestrian Program ages 3 - 6      3PM - 4PM
Pony Grooming and Riding Program ages 7 - 11     4:30PM - 6PM

Join our energetic instructor Alan to get in shape and have fun. Our popular adult exercise program is for the beginner or advanced participant.

Boonton Parents of Exceptional Adults & Children

Boonton Parents of Exceptional Adults & Children (PEAC) arranges recreational programs for adults and children with life & learning disabilities. These Exceptional Kid programs are open to Boonton residents and members of surrounding communities through the NJ Recreational Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities grant program. Boonton PEAC works with Boonton PTA to train peer mentors to assist school-aged participants in the programs.
