The dispatcher position is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching police units or other town service personnel, sending and receiving information to various agencies and departments, monitoring radios and cameras, maintaining a database and other duties as necessary.  Requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, innovative thinking and the ability to remain focused under pressure.  All applicants must be able to work rotating shifts, holidays and weekends.  Position requires a HS diploma or GED certification, a valid NJ driver’s license with an excellent driving record and must pass a criminal background check, medical exam, and drug test. PARKING ENFORCEMENT TRAINEE (PART-TIME) – TOWN OF BOONTON

Immediate position available for up to 25 hrs/wk with flex schedule (Saturdays a must), prorated paid sick and vacation time. No health benefits. Starting salary $15 - $18+ / hour. Work is performed outdoors, in high traffic areas, and is subject to varying weather conditions. Duties require the ability to walk for long periods of time, skill in operating a hand-held enforcement device, and two-way radio. Successful candidate will have daily interaction with the public and therefore must have the ability to effectively communicate in a friendly manner. A positive public image is required. Position requires a HS diploma or GED certification, a valid NJ driver’s license with an excellent driving record and must pass a criminal background check, medical exam, and drug test. ADMINISTRATOR (Full-time) - TOWN OF BOONTON, NJ. The Mayor and Board of Alderman are seeking motivated and engaged candidates for the position of Town Administrator, to replace a long serving Administrator/CFO, who is retiring. The vibrant, diverse and evolving community has a population of 8400+ residents in approximately 2.3 square miles. The successful candidate will report to the Mayor and Board of Alderman, serve as Chief Administrative Officer and be responsible for all day-to-day operations, supervising Boonton's 85+ employees in a civil-service environment, long term-strategic planning. BID NOTICE 


NOTICE: REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS 

Sealed proposals will be received by the Town Clerk Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM, prevailing time, or soon after as the matter can be reached, in the office of the Town Administrator, Municipal Building, 100 Washington Street, Boonton, New Jersey, 07005, for the following professional services: 

· Planning Consulting Services – Master Plan Services 
· Affordable Housing 

Requests for Proposals are available on the Town website www.boonton.org as well as on file in the office of the Town Clerk, Municipal Building, 100 Washington Street, Boonton, New Jersey, 07005, where same may be inspected during business hours beginning on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2017. 

Each proposal must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the proposer on the face of the envelope and clearly marked with the name of the service being submitted for consideration (Master Plan and/or Affordable Housing). Proposals must be submitted at the time and place specified above and will be opened and read thereafter. Proposals will be accepted by mail or in person at the time specified. No Proposal, either by mail or in person, will be accepted after the date and hour specified. In the case of mailed Proposals, the Town assumes no responsibility for bid proposals received after the date and time specified. Proposers must submit one (1) original, hard copy (clearly marked as “original”), three (3) copies (clearly marked as “copy”) and one (1) complete copy, as a PDF on a CD/DVD. 

The Mayor and Alderman reserve the right to waive any irregularities and reject any and all proposals. Proposers shall comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. 

All final awards shall be made by resolution adopted by a majority of the Mayor and Alderman based upon the proposals made to the Town that have been determined to be the most advantageous to the Town, all factors (price & other) considered.

These RFPs have been advertised in accordance with the “Fair and Open Basis” and nothing further shall be required under the Pay-to-Play Legislation (N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.7).
