Boonton Parks and Recreation sponsors a variety of regular activities and special programs throughout the year. The Recreation Committee is always interested in new ideas and feedback from the community. If you're interested in starting a new program or helping with established programs, please e-mail us at:

The recreation center is available for use by Town of Boonton non-profit groups as well as local civic organizations. Information on how to apply for use of the recreation center as well as the application is available here.

Coaches Clinic

All youth sports coaches and parents are encouraged to attend the Double-Goal Coach II Workshop, hosted by the Positive Coaching Alliance.
Wednesday February 24th from 7PM - 9PM

Enjoy a Free night out with your family sponsored by Morris County Partners in Substance Abuse Prevention.
Open to all Morris County families.

Join some of your favorite teachers for some fun after school programs.
Programs begin the week of January 26th
Classes held from 3PM-4PM, but children will be chaperoned from dismissal until class begins.

Dance Move and Create with Wellness In Motion
A Movement and Dance Program for exceptional children
2 classes to choose from

Friday Fun Nights
Meet at the Boonton Rec Center for a night of games and activities. Held twice a month. Registration required but the events are free.

Boonton Parents of Exceptional Adults & Children (PEAC) arranges recreational programs for adults and children with life & learning disabilities. These Exceptional Kid programs are open to Boonton residents and members of surrounding communities through the NJ Recreational Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities grant program. Boonton PEAC works with Boonton PTA to train peer mentors to assist school-aged participants in the programs. For more information about Boonton PEAC, please contact Parent Coordinator Sonja Chapman at 973-263-1577.
