Materials Accepted
CansAluminum Containers (Recycling – All together in one can) Rinse and commingle with recyclables
Brown BagsBrown Paper Bags (Recycling – All together in one can)     Commingle with other recyclables
Paper BoardChipboard/Paperboard (Recycling – All together in one can) Commingle with other recyclables.  Flatten all boxes. Include beverage carrier, cereal, pasta, tissue boxes, paper towel rolls.
CardboardCorrugated Cardboard (Recycling – All together in one can) Flatten and mix with other recyclables, no need to tie or bundle
Glass

Glass Containers (Recycling – All together in one can) Remove lids, rinse and commingle with recyclables.  Metal lids may be placed in container separately.

PaperMixed Office Paper (Recycling – All together in one can) Mix with other recyclables.
News PaperNewspaper (Recycling – All together in one can) Mix with other recyclables and do not tie or bundle.
Junk MailOther Paper/Mag./JunkMail (Recycling)  Commingle with other paper in reusable container or brown paper bag.
Plastic 1Plastic #1 (PETE) Food and Beverage Containers (Recycling – All together in one can) Empty, rinse, and commingle with recyclable mix.  Do not place cap/lip back on container.

Plastic #1 (PETE) Bottles (Recycling – All together in one can) Rinse, empty liquids and commingle with recyclable mix.  Do not place cap back on container.

Plastic #2 (HDPE) Bottles (Recycling – All together in one can) Rinse, empty liquids, and commingle with recyclable mix. Do not place cap back on container.
Plastic 2Plastic #2 (HDPE) Food and Beverage Containers (Recycling – All together in one can) Empty, Rinse and commingle with recyclable mix. Do not place cap back on container.

Plastic #4 (LDPE) Food and Beverage Containers (Recycling – All together in one can)   Rinse, empty liquids, and commingle        with recyclable mix. Do not place cap back on container.

Plastic #5 (PP) Food and Beverage Containers (Recycling - All together in one can)   Rinse, empty liquids, and commingle with   recyclable mix. Do not place cap back on container.

Plastic #7 (OTHER) Food and Beverage Containers(Recycling All together in one can)   Rinse, empty liquids, and commingle   with recyclable mix. Do not place cap back on container.

TiresTires (Recycling)  Accepted at recycling center.
Polyboard/Drink Boxes (Recycling All together in one can) Empty and mix with other recyclables.
Steel

Steel Containers Boxes (Recycling All together in one can) Rinse, Commingle with recyclables.  Aerosol cans must be empty and plastic caps removed and discarded.

Telephone Books Boxes (RecyclingAll together in one can) Also include paperback and softcover books.   Do not include hardcover books.

AppliancesWhite Goods & Light Iron (Recycling)  Accepted at recycling center. To be picked up at curbside by DPW, a $10 sticker required. Sold at Town Hall.
